Rise Against Hunger Meal Packaging Event

Stop Hunger Now’s meal packaging program is a volunteer-based effort through which participants package high protein, dehydrated meals for use in crisis situations.  The meals go to schools and orphanages all over the world.   We will be working together with 7 other local churches to make this a possibility.  The meals cost 25 cents each and we would like to package over 20,000 meals.  We will be planning fundraising projects in the near future.  We will also need volunteers to help package that day.  Anyone can come and help (ages 8 to 104 welcome).  There is a job for everyone.  We will have a sign-up sheet, but if you are interested in volunteering, please see Royanne.  This is a great hands-on way to be disciples of Jesus Christ.  Let’s help feed the hungry as Jesus calls us to do.  Please plan on helping anyway you can.

 

Food Bank Sunday

Please remember to bring your food or monetary donations in the first Sunday of each month for the Food Bank.  If you forget you can bring them any Sunday and place them in the bin in the narthex.
